Why It’s Important to Unplug

0

I am beyond excited! Tomorrow, I am off to LA and New York for a two-week working holiday. I can’t wait to feel the sunshine on my skin, catch up on the good books I have on my bedside table, write, take photos, cook, be inspired, connect, sleep, and, most importantly, unplug.

Today we are so easily ‘connected’ to everyone and every thing with Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pintrist, LinkedIn and the list goes on. To be honest, all this connecting has exhausted me. I am tired of Tweeting, Facebooking and Instagramming. I need a break from it all.

I absolute love each and every single one of you and connecting with you all is so special to me. But, I encourage you all to do the same. Unplug for a day or two. See how you feel. See what happens when you create space!

In the past, when I have created space, the most magical experiences have occurred. So, I encourage you to do the same.

My Experiment:

While I am away, I will be unplugged for approximately 10 days. This is the longest I have ever been away from social media and without a phone. (How sad!) I will not have a US SIM card or my Aussie phone on. However, I will still be using my phone to take photos. I may post a few great articles on my Facebook page. But, I won’t be blogging. So make sure you have “liked” my Facebook page so you don’t miss out on any goodies!

I will be writing while I am away. By unplugging, I will be making space for the creativity to flow. I have so many exciting things in store for you guys. I will be releasing an LA Health Guide with all the best places to eat, do yoga, workout + loads of great interviews with some of my celebrity friends. So stay tune!

I will miss you dearly. I can’t wait to share all my stories and photos with you when I get back.

Loads of love and happiness to you!

Love,

Melissa
